Tommy La Stella fractured his leg when he fouled a pitch off it last night. Angels had much bigger problems this week obviously but that really sucks for a grinder having his breakout season.

The San Diego Chicken is at our summer wood bat league game tonight. Seen him many times, but his act never gets old.

Three days in, and I'm really hating July.

LA fans are going to have to stop leaving early. Dodgers win fifth consecutive home game on a walk off.

Is it now fair to say that Bryce Harper’s MVP season is a significant outlier and he is a .270 hitter who walks a lot and can hit long HRs? He’s not a generational talent or elite player and therefore is overrated.

If you end up hitting 500 home runs, are you not a generational talent?

Not any more. Is Sosa, Palmeiro, Sheffield generational talent. if he does it over 20 years, with a .271 average He’s a very good player who played a long time with a couple of great seasons.

I mean, you picked three names who have steroid taint on them, so there's that.

There are 27 men who have hit more than 500 home runs. The youngest is Pujols, born in 1980.
If Cabrera gets there, which isn't a lock now, he's 1983

Trout is 1991. Harper is 1992. That seems generational to be.

Sosa, Palmeiro and Sheffield would all be in the Hall of Fame if it was based on their numbers and the PED issue was ignored.

Fitting metaphor for the entire franchise.

If there were a dumpster or pile of tires nearby it would be letter perfect.
