Trump will win the swing states he needs. Because Putin.

You know this and I know this but more importantly so does Mitch McConnell, whose inaction in securing our election is proof positive he is implicit in its corruption.

While I want to be encouraged by the numbers, nothing matters until he has an opponent.

Oh, I don’t think Obama was uniquely bad on immigration. I already said he was tougher than Bush, who stunk to high heaven.

The critique is for those who suddenly found religion on immigration, and have done so in a way that they’ll either need to walk back some of their sentiment or effectively embrace open borders.

Trump’s approach is worse. I don’t like anything about the way he’s gone about it and it’s created a genuine crisis. If it were me, I’d allow donations and fundraisers for the refugees. I think that’d resolve it.

Nevertheless, the crisis creates an imperative to actually address the whole of the matter, which no one - including Obama - has been able to do.

I don’t think he’ll be president again. I really don’t. I think there are more than a few states that’ll flip back blue. Mayor Pete would win by a big margin. Hard not to like that guy. Harris beats him too.

Mitch McConnell needs to worry about winning reelection in his own state in 2020. At the moment it doesn't appear official Amy McGrath is running, but we'll see.

I too, fear exactly that scenario.

Yes, the numbers, if you break them down into groups, are as follows:

States where Trump's approval rating is:

    Minus-20 or worse: 162 EV
    -15 to -19: 52 EV
    -10 to -14 29 EV
    -5 to -9: 58 EV
    -1 to -5: 59 EV
    Even: 16 EV
    +1 to +5: 82 EV
    +5 to +9: 19 EV
    +10 to +14: 15 EV
    +15 to +19: 34 EV
    +20 or better: 12 EV

So, if you go by the states where he is minus-5 or worse, he's already lost 301 EV. And one of the minus-1-to-minus-5 states is Virginia, and I doubt the Democratic candidate will lose there.

But as long as we have a political party complicit in Russian meddling, the fear of election malfeasance will remain.

Russia may not be so subtle next time. Trump may win 538-0.

THIS! S0000 tired of Trumpistas using Obama to justify what they do. Turn the page, already.
