    Nope. The tweets were cheap and intentionally racist/xenophobic, on top of being, as they often are, factually wrong. That its after-the-fact-buncha-crap purpose was to pit those four women against Pelosi...hopefully people see that tactic for what it is - rotten - and reject it outright.

    The tweets are simply not defensible on any level. They serve only to divide and inflame.

    Hmm, ours was on the parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector. I guess the senior pastor strayed from the lectionary for June and July since half the church is at the lake or beach every Sunday.

    I'm not sure the "handlers," if they exist, have any real power here. There is one reason and one reason only that he does this job: He loves the camera and the crowd. While a debate crowd will be reined in and told not to boo or cheer, he'll know that millions of his klan are watching on TV and he'll be able to play to them. While there is evidence that he has been talked off a ledge on actual matters of policy, there is no reason to believe he has been dissuaded from making despicable statements that would ruin any other pre-Trump politician.
    And there is no reason to believe that he will suffer any negative consequences from further exposure of his ignorance, stupidity and racism. His klan will keep loving him and Fox News will ignore it all.
    Remember the biggest factors of all: Trumpists control access to the polls and the machinery that counts the votes. This gives him cover for any gaffes.
