    I presume in addition to being taken out of the game, he was thrown out of the game too. Just for the sake of collecting the fine.

    It's not unprecedented: I remember the Yankees' Dave Righetti once firing the ball over the right field fence in Toronto before he was taken out of the game.

    ESPN article notes that Rob Dibble got a fine and four games, but he hit a lady with the ball. A similar punishment for Bauer would be like, five to 10 games out - because he's a SP - but I'm not sure if him arguing "I threw it there because I knew there wasn't anyone there" would help him.
