You also can trade arms for bats

 

Giants were dealing at the deadline as well, getting some immediate help, a little help down the road and unloading a bad contract with Melancon.

Wonder what the Giants wanted for Mad Bum or Will Smith versus what the Yankees/Astros wanted. God knows the Yankees need starting pitching so that price must have been steep.
