What the? 2 separate sentences in that story : Epstein was found dead in his jail cell Saturday morning.
And : Epstein, a powerful and well-connected money manager, faces sex trafficking and conspiracy charges in New York.
If the first one is true, they buried the lead.

 

No. Racist enough. That's what wins out.
They know they shouldn't reward someone who economically screwed them. But they care more about defeating the libruhls and putting those damned black and brown people in their place than they do about their own futures.

I listened to this song at least 3 or 4 years before I found out who Alex Chilton was.

 

Classic case of a late update. The original story was written yesterday. They needed to update to include Epstein's death, but they didn't want to do a complete rewrite immediately. It comes across as rather clumsy. By now, they should have done the writethru.

 

So close to being spot-on. It's Country Joe West. By now, I suspect a few thousand people have replied to remind the author of the error.

I actually thought that but didn’t see the “suicide” thing until later in the thread.
I think I would have pulled the whole story and rewrote, or at least edited it to make sure everything agreed throughout. Except we all know there really aren’t any copy editors anymore.#journalismboard

Jeffery Epstein attempted suicide, what, ten days ago? Funny how flexible suicide watch can be when your enemies are rich and powerful, isn't it?

I hate to be the conspiracy theory guy, but it certainly seems awfully convenient (for a LOT of people) that he died before he could be forced to testify.

DOJ really dropped the ball on this one. No way in hell should this have been possible. There will be a lot of posturing about it, finger-pointing and blame passing, but the scumbag is going to remain quite dead.

It happened the day after that huge document dump on his case. Seems to me like that would have been the time to be extra alert for something like this.
