That I did know. And David also eventually played for Toronto.

Was Richie Zisk the batter? Or did he score the first run? Or perhaps both.

I believe the first batter was Ralph Garr.

    Ah, yes that’s right.

I just looked it up and Zisk hit the first home run.

Also of note was the crew that day. You mentioned Chylak, but the rest were Richie Garcia, Joe Brinkman, and Steve Palermo who was making his MLB debut. That’s quite a crew.

Who are the only two MLB players to have experienced every MLB work stoppage? Hint, that means their career started before 1972 and ended at or around 1994/1995.

I'd guess Nolan Ryan is one, although I don't know if he hung around that long.

EDIT: Nope, he retired after 1993 season.

When Dan Marino set the NFL (and AFC) record for passing yards in a season in 1984, who held the NFC record for passing yards in a season at that time?

Neil Lomax or Lynn Dickey, depending on how you are asking it. I want to say Dickey set the record in 1983, but lomax broke that record in 1984.

Lomax set the NFC mark in 1984 with 4614, Dickey had 4458 in 1983.

Goose Gossage might be one...he extended his career a lot longer than people remember as a set up guy.

Were they players during each stoppage? As in, they weren’t managers/coaches for the last one(s)?

They were both players and Gossage was one of the two.
