Welcome to the Jungle is the emblematic rock song. If you don't think that's rock, you're beyond help.

GNR is not glam anything. They are rock and roll to the core. Come on, man, you can't be serious trying to slag their rock bonafides. Defining rock is -- to steal SC justice Frankfurter, I believe --like defining pornography: I know when I see it.

P.S. Bon Jovi sucks and any guy who likes them is soft.

P.P.S. INXS belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

He's so pretty with that lipstick and makeup and teased hair ... sweet glam of mine lol ...

So GnR is rock but not metal?

If they come on the radio when you're driving or playing pool, you're singing ... I'd put a few shekels on it.

INXS is without a doubt one of the best bands ever.

This is their best song ...

But if you want to know the height of male sexuality, it's Michael Hutchence in this video ...

I humbly disagree about their best song.

If Bon Jovi comes on the radio? Who the hell wants to run that risk? I listen to Pandora at all times, and that craptastic band ain't anywhere near my playlist. Really, the guy makes stupid fucking noises with that whammy flute or whatever the fuck it is; so damn corny.

I read a story about Axl/GNR one time. Apparently they all lived in an apartment together, and it was a complete and utter pigsty, toilet busted so they pissed in the sink kind of thing. But one room had a padlock on it, Rose's room, and it was immaculate.

Not really germane to the subject, but there you go.

He always comes off as the asshole, but the rest of that band were a bunch of degenerate addicts. He definitely partied, but I'm pretty sure he was the only one who never went to rehab.

    Enjoy The Silence, please ...

That's another debate for another decade of music. Maybe another decade of this board ...

The thrust of their best work was in the '80s. They're more about sound then they are about rock.

    But damn, so fucking good.

Legend after they made it big
Axl: “am I becoming an asshole?
Manager: “no. You’ve been always an asshole.”

There is a cut in the Paradise City video where Axl is showing off his all access pass to his own show and nodding like he's a bad ass. I figured him for db then and there.
