I’m at 12, but as I read the list I sort of asked myself some questions of what i did in the last week:
Have I volunteered with a charitable group?
Have I donated money?
Have I spoken to a homeless person?
Did I get lunch for/with a homeless person?
Did I eat a meal with someone who was not my same skin tone?
Did I have a honest discussion about race?
Did I actually have a conversation with my wife where I validated her and told her I loved her?
Did I spend time with my kids where it was just me and them with no distractions.

The answers were all yes save for lunch with a homeless person, which I really wish I did because I think it would have been great for both of us. He said he had worked in the press room at the local daily for 20 years ...which I almost dismissed until he said “it was great until thor Gannett guys bought us” and I thought, “shit, this guy is telling the truth.”

 

If only those old cures would have worked, dammit

I keep wondering when the GOP is going to realize they're going all in with a lame duck President. My guess is the day before election day.
