Why didn't she just go, visit grams, then say what she wanted to say anyway? I mean, if that's what she wanted to do?

For that matter, from a purely tactical standpoint, why didn't Trump shut his mouth, let Omar and Tlaib say whatever they wanted to say, and then simply let their words stand as criticism against them?

It's like two teams that took turns fumbling the ball to one another.
