2019 MLB Regular Season running thread

Exactly. Said this all weekend.

 

I would put the Cardinals in that same boat.

 

They rendered any and all games close to unwatchable for me. I mean, didn't ANYONE in MLB's hierarchy have the aesthetic sense and common sense to say, "hey, let's go up to a third deck and see how they look, and then we'll video them and see how they look in hi-def."?

 

Both teams appealed to Manfred and asked that he waive the requirement this weekend and he said, nope! Idiots.

 

Every game I watched, every highlight I saw, I thought the goddamn White Sox were playing. And the black unis were better than the whites.

 

I didn't mind the Giants in all black since it's one of their colors, and it had a little Mathewson-McGraw era vibe, but the white lettering on white jerseys was ridiculous.

 

I didn't mind the all black, especially since they won.

 

I was in the upper deck at Dodger Stadium on Sunday and it was impossible to see names and numbers on either jersey.

The scoreboard listed the players by nicknames, so we had to guess who Sunday and King were. The PA announcer alternated between real name and nicknames each time through the lineup, so we knew who was up half the time.

My favorite was Brett Gardner using Gardner. He's just the red ass who would say eff you to Players Weekend.

Cripes, they looked like my damn dentist.

 

I did not see 1 white on white that would make me go out and buy anything.
The Yankees and Braves I thought were the 2 best black ones.
