How in the hell did the Lions and Bills rate a national TV game, even in August

 

I was watching that high school game between De La Salle and Thomas Aquinas.

 

Whoa.

Caught the tail end of his interview on 60 minutes.

 

Dammit, dammit, dammit. Damn, I hate ALS.

Tim Green wrote some really solid fiction -- enjoyed his books.

 

I don't want to start some dust up, but doesn't Carli Lloyd use a longer, slower run up to her kick than NFL players do?

The only two things I'm afraid of are brown recluse spiders and ALS. That's it, the entire list.

 

Yeah, she took five steps compared to two for NFL FG kickers. She's reportedly going to work with a coach to cut down the steps.

 

A neighbor, she was maybe 42, had ALS. We watched the slow deterioration for three long, agonizing years. I told my wife to kill me first, and I wasn't kidding.
