You may be right but isn't this pretty much what those that know Trump best believe? Hell, his dumb ass kid told the world they were getting all the money they needed from Russians.

"People have been saying" Fatboy is under command of Russian mobsters for years and years. His actions certainly indicate it is likely. That's not new news.

So a single unnamed source saying it again is not a big news flash. Some kind of smoking-gun proof would be.

 

You could easily make the argument that MSNBC has done more to bolster Trump's standing with botched, over-hyped "scoops" that turned out to be nothing than even Fox News has with all of their fawning.

 

I think Lawrence should be suspended and he was incredibly stupid. But isn't the story about a smoking gun? I thought the story was that this was all documented and will be coming out.

It’s pretty noteworthy when an outlet’s first response to charges of inaccuracy is anything other than “We stand by our story.”

 

If the MSNBC brass thought there was a reasonable possibility of that, they would never have folded so fast. *

They'd just no-comment the whole thing, let the right wingers screech for a few days, and hope they'd eventually be proven right.

Disappointing it was O'Donnell, who is whip smart and knows better than this.
