That was a trash call. I get it in real time how it looked but that is exactly why they have VAR. You got to let replay handle that.

I'm glad Charley is having a great day.

Liverpool didn't even look good and still won 3-0. I like it.

I touched down at Dulles in time to watch the final 60 minutes or so of Newcastle-Watford on my phone. Suppose I should be happy with picking up a point on the road. But in the current situation, 'Orns really needed the full three. Javi hasn't been sacked yet, I don't think.

Sam is the Liverpool fan, but appreciate the sentiment. There was a lot of trash talk going on. At least Mane hates Salah.

Shit. I didn’t even realize you had another kid. Shows how much I pay attention. Sorry.

I've always been a fan of NBCSN's pre-match coverage, including Rebecca Lowe and whichever two former players she has alongside her.

But they've taken it to a new level this season. Love the banter and LOVE the new Boot Room segments.

It is a super high-quality production. No dumbing down.

Gareth Bale scoring two and getting a red card for Real. That will be the soap opera to end all soap operas.

Went to the Sporting KC match on Saturday at the back end of a work trip. Soccer itself was so-so, SKC beat Houston 1-0 with a 12th minute header, but what a fun atmosphere. I suppose I shouldn't be, but I was shocked to see so many SKC jerseys and hardly any European jerseys floating around. Also, shout out to the handful of fans wearing old school KC Wizards gear. Sadly, I saw no KC Wiz gear.

I sat at the side of the penalty area about 13 rows up. Never sat those close before. Pretty amazing to watch in better detail the things the wings do to create space for themselves while being pressed.

SKC ultras were high in number, but I thought it was weird that there was a lot of noise, but that they didn't actually do much chanting. When I went to a Portland match several years ago, they were chanting quite a bit.

Interesting parking situation. SKC's stadium is part of a wider development that includes a walking mall. Most of the parking is at the adjacent Kansas Speedway, which is a sizable walk to the park. However, they run shuttle buses to the park. Not a bad system at all.

    Thumbs up experience.

I just paid $15 to watch Singapore and Yemen draw 2-2 in World Cup qualifying. Yahweh help me, I think I might have a thing for watching bad soccer.
