Does the British MP crossing the aisle mean Johnson is bounced as PM?

The problem with Trump’s golfing is the number of days he does it after he spent years blasting Obama for the occasional round.

There is nothing more complicated than a Parliamentary democracy, but the short answer is no. He no longer has a majority against every other voting party combined. He still has the most seats. It's possible for the Prime Minister to come from the ranks of a united opposition, but it's unusual for the party with the plurality of seats not to be the party in power.

One of the interesting threats Johnson has made is to hold an election—elections are called within a term limit, not held on a rigid schedule like America's—bouncing the rebel Conservatives from his party in the process. But it's not clear he'd win the election. It would be quite a move.

Then maybe he's dead in the water unless he does a Mitch McConnell when he knows he doesn't have the votes ... don't vote at all.

He's set a deadline though. It's hugely complicated, but it's interesting to wade into the weeds of it. All because a referendum that nobody thought would pass barely passed. It's such a parallel to Trump. A few thousand votes out of millions changed the course of everything.

Anyone see the video posted on Twitter of him golfing this weekend? For as much as he plays you'd think he'd have a better swing.
