While things didn’t get physical, according to NFL Network, Brown said he’d punch Mayock in the face and punted a ball, telling Mayock to fine him for that.​

That is nuts. A $50,000 fine is chump change to this guy and he's going ballistic.

The entire Bears starting roster, except for Roquan Smith for one series, didn't play a single preseason down. Hell, most of the top backups didn't play.

 

The GM shouldn't have fined a player for skipping mandatory team meetings? Or Mayock shouldn't have posted it on social media and ranted about how unfair it was? Or Mayock shouldn't have tried to start a fight with Brown where he needed to be held back by other front-office personnel?

 

Mayock is playing a role to make sure Gruden doesn't look like the bad guy. The Brown move was Gruden's all the way.

 

That's a good way to lose the locker room right quick. But hey, that's more than Tomlin ever did to Brown. Fucking enabled this jackass for years and Kevin Colbert wasn't much better.
