So today I'm going to a bar on Clearwater Beach that has NFL Sunday Ticket so I can watch the Lions and Cardinals. It's a game the Lions should win, but as a Lions fan, I know Cardinals fans see the Lions on the schedule and are saying: "Hey, this is a game we can win."
I HATE the Lions, but they're my team

If anyone thinks the so-called Patriot Way is gonna right this asshole has not been paying attention. This guy is touched. Was it the Burfict hit? No, he was a moron before that. Did he pull some brilliant pro-player machination to expose the tilt in the owner/player dynamic? Please, the guy can't get through a week without bitching about shit that has been cooperatively agreed (the helmets), thus running the risk (if he succeeded) in exposing others to harm by using inferior equipment.

The Pats are just the Raiders' sloppy seconds. If this guy settles down and performs like an All-Pro in New England, on this contract, I will rename my daughter Antonia.

Interesting take. If there are multiple sources who can verify what he said to Mayock and threatened, he's definitely in the cone for suspension. He has brought as much disrespect to the shield as anyone since Kareem Hunt, and you can bet that the owners of teams who didn't get him will go high and mighty to try to fuck the Pats and seek a suspension.

What do you think teams do when they cut a player? They essentially rip up their contract.

Brown essentially did the same thing. There’s obviously more at play here than just that, but for him, it’s a business decision.

And that is the owners’ contract problem.

They have a mess right now.

If I was them, I would guarantee all money after the final roster cutdown. If you make the team, you get paid for the season. But, if you go Antonio, we don’t have to pay you and we get the roster spot back and you cannot be picked up by another team.

So, if you misbehave (the definition of which is decided by the owners and/or the commissioner), you get cut, and no money and you don't get to play anymore? Yeah, good idea. I'm sure the NFLPA will go along with it.

You would have to get an impartial third party person to rule.

I’m more talking about refusal to play. What Antonio did goes way beyond misbehaving.

The first thing the NFL needs to get straight is the contracts. They pay players far too little early in their careers. It’s a mess.

Holding out is one of the few, minuscule pieces of power the players have. The only thing that fixes that is fully guaranteed deals and getting rid of the franchise and transition tags. No way the owners are going to do either one.
