He looks like the scrotum of an old man sitting in the sauna too long, but half as interesting

I'm all for that, too. If forced to, I'll vote for Biden. But I'd prefer a candidate who can achieve more than defeating Trump.

I’d be happy to see Mayor Pete run in 2028. The VP spot, at least in my lifetime, is a dead end position, never leading to the top job (no matter what you think of the Scalia ratfucking Gore got). It would be better if he held some higher position — quaint, I know — but I think he’d be great nine years from now.

And I still maintain too much of the homophobic populace would never vote for an openly gay man.

As someone who voted republican for years, I will gladly vote for Sanford if he is allowed into primaries. I will vote Walsh or Weld as well. And the GOP leadership knows this. They know Trump will win, but they don’t want people to see just how much he is hated by his own party.

I feel sure Trump will trounce Walsh and Weld, but Sanford could give him a decent run for his money. Honestly, he could be their lifeline if Trump continues to Trump the next 3-4 months. They cut Trump loose and have a potential general election winner that might be a chance to save the party. If Trump is re-elected, and the country survives, the GOP is dead.

Sanford will be a constant reminder that trump has the morals of a 15th century bishop

Prestwick Airport was a key refueling stop for the Hessians during the Revolution.
