Has the league office said they are going to approve this contract to the Patriots?

What can the league offices actually do on the weekend? Can they approve releases but not contracts?

No matter how you look at it, though, the Raiders fucked up. They did exactly what Brown, and his agent, wanted. If they held onto him this weekend, they could have gone to the league office on Monday and seen if they could have suspended him without pay but still kept his player rights for a possible trade.

The owners and GMs have all day today to think about this. I’m just not sure it’s a slam dunk he’s a Patriot, yet. He’s probably 95% a Patriot, but I think this still could get more complicated than it already is.

And the owners are probably figuring out under the current system, they are starting to lose the battle.

When rich, white men start to lose battles, shit starts to happen.

I just love people losing their minds over this.
Rosenhaus had someone's ear in Boston early that this deal in Oakland wasn't going to work.
Rosenhaus may be a sleazy scumbag, but he's not stupid.

I'm assuming he approved the trade to Oakland. At what point did he decide that was a bad decision on his part?

I'm guessing that this worked similar to how most NBA deals are magically announced the second free agency opens. Meaning - It's illegal for Rosenhaus to meet with the Patriots about Antonio Brown, who was employed by Oakland. It's not illegal for him to just schedule a meeting to discuss his other clients employed by the Pats. And unless someone is recording that meeting, or someone in it is stupid enough to spill the beans, nothing you can do about it.

  6. What could be done?
He was released and picked up (nothing official until Monday).

That fucker gamed the system and despite losing a shit-ton of guaranteed money is in a good position. Until he fucks it up again.

And he will.... Once Brady jumps his ass or throws one time too many to Edleman instead of forcing it to him, the crazy will start rolling. And drama will begin again.

What are the odds he last the entire season in NE? I don’t think he can cease his antics long enough to survive the year with the Pats.

  7. Whats are the odds AB is on the Pats sidelines tonight trolling the Steelers?

    It’s a given, right?

I hope so. And I’m sure you’ll be able to completely ignore it.

  9. He won’t be on the field.
He’ll be as much help to a win as I will.

  10. Per Jay Glazer: Brown is not allowed to be on field at tonight’s game.

    Nantz looks particularly, orange today.

Mahomes has almost a 150 yards passing on four attempts!

Normally I’d think Brown will implode again. But it’s the Patriots. He’ll likely have a great year, get a ring and move on to be a problem elsewhere. More reason to hate the Patriots.
