There was no chance I was going to watch something other than part 5 of Ken Burns’ “Country Music” tonight, but it’s nice to know the NFL made my choice worthwhile.

His bewilderment look is still miles below the Jay Cutler grumpy face.

Josh Rosen's 18-39 afternoon for 200 yards didn't do anything to make the case that the Cardinals got rid of him too soon.

But none of those faces were getting a $110 million guaranteed for the next four seasons.

I have no idea if Rosen is going to be any good. I suspect he may not be.

But Dan Marino is his prime would look like a disaster playing on that team.

I wonder if, five years from now, Josh Rosen will be on his third or fourth team, get thrown into a starting job with a moderately decent team, and start lighting it up while people go, "But he sucked! WTF!?"
Just because we really have no idea what he might or might not be right now. He was on a shitty Cardinals team that gave up on him after one season. Now he's on an even worse Dolphins team -- which has played three likely playoff teams, BTW -- that is in full-on tank mode, which should give him a pass on some level for this season. His stats today are obviously not good, but they were way more competitive in that game than they were in either of the first two. The Cowboys didn't pull away until the second half, and the Dolphins moved the ball a little in the first half.
I wonder if he might wind up being a competent QB if he ever finds a team that isn't a total train wreck?

Didn't see the game, but those stats suggest he spent most of the game checking down. Were there a lot of drops? Completion pct is a good indicator because your better qbs know who the open receiver is likely to be and are able to get the ball there.

I put the blame more on Conner than the officials. The play was blown up in the backfield and he didn't protect the ball. The offensive line we hear so much about sucked today. The Steelers were lucky to have a shot late in that game. The defense was helpless most of the second half for the second week in a row and the offense didn't give Rudolph nearly enough help. This is a bad team that's going nowhere.

Rudolph had his rough spots, but that wasn't his fault. The offensive line, which is supposed to be the strength of that offense, was terrible today. They created very little room to run and didn't protect Rudolph at all. Smith-Schuster made one great play and was invisible the rest of the game. This is arguably the worst team Tomlin has had. I love what I saw of Fitzpatrick today, but that's going to be a top 10 pick they gave up to get him.

Possible the AFC North will be won with a .500 record this year?
