The comedy bits are so far ranging from brutal to truly brutal.

But it is Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s world and we are just living in it. The fact that she took down JLD in the last season of Veep is crazy.

I like Shaloub as much as anyone - but I find Maisel a bit overrated and the portrayals of the parents and in-laws on that show are cartoonish.

All Fleabag. They got it right.

You really couldn't go wrong with any of the choices - more than a few worthy performances weren't nominated.

GoT was a heck of a spectacle but had a terrible final season.

Well-earned Emmys for Julia Garner as Ruth on Ozark as best supporting actress and also for Jason Bateman for male lead. That show is terrific.

EDIT: Guess Bateman won for directing, not acting.

With all the hype for Fleabag, I should really give it a shot now.

Mindblowing they get best Drama when the last season tanked.

Clearly one of those "lifetime achievement award" things. It might be the last 'everyone is watching this!' show, but then again, I feel like we said that about The Show Before GOT. Something will fill the void when it comes to popular entertainment with jusstttt enough quality to it.

Kind of like when the last Lord of the Rings won all the Oscars. I didn't get into GoT until season 3 or 4 after I heard everyone from political nerds to sports radio hosts to fantasy geeks rave about it - figured if something was able to connect all those three groups it had something going for it.
