I need the Royals to take 2 of 3 from the Twins this weekend.
Now that the Twins have clinched, I should be ok.
Me and good friend have had running bet last 3 years about Royals getting to 60 wins for a case of beer.
59 last year, and included a rainout in last series. Oh sumamabitch I was hot.
2 of 3 you no playing fucks.
    You can do it.

Nice to see Felix get the send-off in Seattle. But make no mistake, if he was having a good year the Mariners would have dealt him to a contender at the playoff deadline for scraps.

At 38, with BAs of .212, .242, .220 and .184 the last four seasons, you'd have to think Grandy is about done.

The way Seattle works, he'll be back for a farewell tour in 2024

His "King's Court" sold a hell of a lot of tickets over the years. Don't know if they go with "Dee's Nuts" next year or what.

It makes me laugh when teams still hoping to gain a playoff spot complain about a team playing the one they're trying to catch as "not trying" late in the year. Check the standings just seven teams within 10 games of .500. There is actually as much competition to be the worst team in the league as the best.

Huggy Jr. went to watch the Leafs play Montreal in a preseason game Wednesday night. Crowd was 18,863 and scalpers were doing a good business when I left the office two hours before puck drop. Just up the street the Jays were playing the Orioles at the same time before an alleged crowd of 13,853.
