I get your point, but my post was strictly related to Ford's conduct as Vice President. He only served less than a year in the office, and during that time he was something less than Nixon's most stalwart defender.

See James Mattis and Theranos. The fraudster Holmes hoped Mattis could help her sell her fraud invention to the Pentagon. He fell for her con (so did a lot of other allegedly bright people).
