Exactly. We know the tank tops will be Trumpists. And I'm thinking the tanks and all other military under the direction of the Commander in Chief will be in the Trumpist brigade.
If there is another civil war, it will be fought on partisan lines, not geographic ones. And that's really scary.

 

There is not going to be that kind of civil war. I doubt there will be any kind, but what violence there is will be Trumpists with automatic weapons taking on soft targets like black churches, synagogues, malls, etc. Same shit as we've been having, except more of it. Terrible, but not any more of a real disruption to society than the weekly leftist bombings of the late '60s-early '70s.

 

The smart play for the Rs in the Senate - vote the way your state is polling. Allow a few to vote "convict" if that helps them keep the majority in the Senate. And pray Trump loses in '20.

 

Example 1,675,894 of how wording in polls can make a huge difference.
CNN has 8% at "undecided" because "undecided" is the wording of its third option. Remove holds a 47-45 lead over Don't Remove.
CBS has 22% at "too soon to say." Nobody wants to admit to being "undecided" because that sounds like you're wishy-washy. But "too soon to say" sounds like the perfectly reasonable, fair, even-keeled, etc. response.

CBS doesn't use the word "remove," opting to stick to "deserves to be impeached" and leaving it there. That gap is 42-36 in favor of "deserves to be impeached."

Beware those who lump these two polls together. They're not really asking the same questions.

I know we pontificate and worry like crazy on here (and other message boards!), but 95 percent of the population is more concerned with feeding their family, raising their children and the new season of network/Netflix TV shows.

 

Remember, some kind of "near-death health crisis" gives Fatfuck the perfect excuse to cut back his already-grueling work schedule from one hour a day to one hour a month. He can recuperate in regal splendor in the jacuzzi at Moron Lago (or wherever else he wants) for six months, making intermittent pathetic bitch-whining video appearances from his hospital bed (and of course Tweets From Mount Olympus), then return in MAGA glory.

 

Health problems would convey weakness. He'd never go for that.
