Just a matter of time until those close to FATUS try something radically different -- like getting away with doing what's right.

So the Democrats appear to want Impeachment to be somewhat surgical, with an eye on it being wrapped up just after Christmas. I would think this would be good for the GOP as well. But instead, the racist traitors in the Administration are going to fight it tooth and nail, which will send everything to Robert's SCOTUS, where they probably won't win (the Constitution is pretty damn clear about Impeachment rules), all of which will metastasize Impeachment and keep it festering well into the summer. How is that a winner for the GOP?

All the other stuff - but the shout out to China might be the final straw.

Trump Mocked For Celebrating the Birth of Communist China

I get it, Communism is bad - but not bad enough that we don't buy their products by the billions, not bad enough to give them the Olympics, not bad enough to stop cashing their checks - not bad enough to tell them to pound sand and we'll call Taiwan Taiwan and not give a fig what they think - not bad enough to take a stand, make a sacrifice in our way of life - but the tweet responses are nice.

I don't know if it is a flip or if he's playing the long game. I trust this about as much a Mitch's "Of course we'll have an impeachment trial, it is our Constitutional obligation". So was installing Gorsuch.

Today is Jimmy Carter's 95th birthday. The only president to reach that milestone. I will always remember when, during the Iranian Hostage Crisis, Carter said he fell in love with the Ayatollah because of a letter he sent.

There is far too much out there already which was handled in their usual sloppy ham-fisted manner. It will get leaked or whistleblown. Normal decent people in career government service have to be sickened by what has gone on. At this point, small leaks can have a devastating effect. Add in that there is a lot going on now that there are new poorly conceived attempts to manage and hide. It is my devout hope that he does not make it to November.

The only collateral damage the GOP is worried about is losing the Senate. There isn't anyone in the Administration most Republicans would figure are worth saving - no one who may be able to play a role in the party going forward. And they'll finally be able to rid themselves of the Freedom Caucus types.
