In 2009, there were 60 Democratic Senators. The week before the 2016 election, Mitch McConnell was telling donors he expected to be minority leader after the vote. I guarantee that if Trump only gets 40 percent of the vote, both Houses of Congress will have Democratic majorities.

"The chairmen of three House committees responded to Pompeo in a statement Tuesday afternoon in which they called on the secretary of state to “immediately cease intimidating” State Department witnesses “in order to protect himself and the President.”

The statement from House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Eliot L. Engel (D-N.Y.), Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam B. Schiff (D-Calif.) and Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah E. Cummings (D-Md.) came after Pompeo said that State Department officials would not show up for their scheduled depositions this week.

“Secretary Pompeo was reportedly on the call when the President pressed Ukraine to smear his political opponent,” the chairmen said. “If true, Secretary Pompeo is now a fact witness in the House impeachment inquiry. He should immediately cease intimidating Department witnesses in order to protect himself and the President.”

BTE's claims regarding what he does here was a lie. BTE's claim that people don't address the substance of his posts is a lie. I'm not saying they do it every time, but to claim that he's some arbiter of fairness in an unfair community is a load of crap. His claims that he doesn't support President Trump are just as bad. He may genuinely hate the man, but as long as there are situations in which defending Russia means defending President Trump, BTE is going to do both.

 

Pompeo needs to be dealt with - this week.
