President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

Thoughts and prayers for a Trumpist hero.

 

When Trump was elected, I told myself, and said it on here, that one of two things would happen. Either he would be a good president who I would disagree with, but at least the country would benefit, or he would be so awful, that nobody would ever vote for a Republican again.

I really didn’t think he’d manage to pull off the latter.

 

Why did Fox fire him? I thought they were in favor of religious liberty?

 

perhaps finally “doubling down on crazy” isn’t the answer for these folks.

 

It's the kind of question I wish a reporter would keep asking him every single day. One reporter, any reporter, should do it every day. That would get under his skin so badly.

 

I want to see this asshole scream - a long piercing shrieking yawp. That's my Super Bowl.

I don't think Starnes actually said the things. I think Jeffress, a member of Trump's Religious Liberty Council, did.

 

That reporter would be escorted out of the premises before he could get too deep in the questioning. No way the Trumpists let this happen again.

This is a great example of how this “Bernie was screwed” narrative got out of hand and is based on very little. Brazile sent Clinton/Clinton’s team two emails.

One suggested she’d get a question about Flint’s water during a debate in Flint. The other suggested she be prepared with a death penalty answer before a later debate.

That’s it. People say “Brazile gave her the questions” as if she emailed over CNN’s proposed script and all of the hosts’ strategy. She didn’t. She tipped Clinton off to two really obvious talking points. It’s like if someone let you know before a job interview you’d be asked about your previous employment and where you hope to be in the future. No freaking shit.

It was still inappropriate. No question. But it was hardly an example of the DNC throwing the primary.
