OK, so when he is out of office and charged, the jury can vote on whether he’s guilty before they hear the evidence.

This is how dumb they are.

Did Sanders have a heart attack?

Sanders is a decent man, but extremely prideful.

He's not going to beat Warren. He knows it. Anyone does. Walking away now, right now, and lining up behind her is the best chance his ideas have of getting a fair hearing. He'd go down as kind of a folk hero, too, if she won.

The Times has been accused of significant bias against Sanders - and I've read more than a few articles that make the case pretty well. More than just reporting bad news in a headline and burying positive news in the back pages. You think they could have found someone other than a former Wall Street analyst who is married to an investment banker to cover someone like Sanders.
I can see him backing Warren eventually - but he just received a huge cash haul, and despite being in the top 3 and shown beating Trump to the same extent as Biden would - he really hasn't had his "moment" in the campaign yet.

Shoot - you would think someone with "no chance" who still is setting the fundraising pace would be a story.
Warren announces almost $25 million fundraising haul, trailing Sanders but dwarfing other rivals

DEEP STATE goin' after Trump again!!!

"Weeks before the whistleblower's complaint became public, the CIA's top lawyer made what she considered to be a criminal referral to the Justice Department about the whistleblower's allegations that President Donald Trump abused his office in pressuring the Ukrainian president, U.S. officials familiar with the matter tell NBC News."

CIA's top lawyer made 'criminal referral' on whistleblower's complaint

    Just ignore this part ...

The move by the CIA's general counsel, Trump appointee Courtney Simmons Elwood, meant she and other senior officials had concluded a potential crime had been committed, raising more questions about why the Justice Department later closed the case without conducting an investigation.

I still think Warren's biggest threat is Pete. The guy's just gonna sit there at the debates, being pretty inoffensive and consistently thoughtful, and wait it out. He has all the donor money to wait it out, and I think - I think - he has more support than the polls suggest.

Unless Hillary ran. And I think Hillary could run. I'd kind love it if she did.

Side note: In hindsight, a few of them ran too soon. Harris is one. She'll regret goring Biden for a long time after this is over, mostly because it wasn't necessary, it didn't work, and it opened the door for Tulsi, an entirely inconsequential and frankly bizarre candidate who may very well be a Trump supporter, to gore her. (Which she did.)
