Welp, so much for that. I'd hope the decision would be different if they were in an 0-2 hole.

After that top of the sixth, I'd say Beer Bong Brett and his suite full of bros are about seven sheets to the wind.

Kinda bullshit that Astros-Rays starting time tomorrow is contingent on Yankee-Twins outcome tonight. Players, fans and stadium personnel won’t know til after midnight if the game is at 3 or 7 p.m.

I get it’s about TV, but that’s a huge difference. Good thing no one goes to games in Tampa.

Almost like they're hoping to depress turnout -- and I know the local market is easily induced into doing things other than go to the Trop -- in order to help spur the empty-seat narrative for long-term benefit of ownership, which can use the optics of empty seats in the years to come.

I'm going to be in LA over the weekend for my brother-in-law's wedding. Trying to figure out a way to convince the family (of which my dad and son are the only real baseball fans) that Game 1 of the NLCS is something we should all attend.

Yankees playing the Twins in the postseason is basically a bye.

Yankees doing champagne on a DS is bad form - regardless of the what is required by sponsors.

Don’t most MLB teams do that now though? Not that I want to defend the Yankees.

One of the worst things ESPN foisted upon us
    Teams don’t trail 0-2
    They trail 2-0
If you say 0-2 it means you’re rooting for the team who’s trailing

I certainly wouldn't put this past them, but this has been going on for years. I was offered a ticket to game 3 of the Twins-Yankees ALDS in 2009, which was on a Sunday, on the preceeding Friday, but had to turn it down because I didn't know what time the game would be and had a commitment that precluded going at one of the possible times.

OK. Just looked at the box score from Game 3 in Tampa.
I did not watch one pitch.
    Announced attendance: 32,251
From anyone that either watched the game or was at the game......is that number even close?
