Dave Martinez has grown on me as a manager. Like so so so so many I wanted him gone at 19-31, my rage blinding me to injuries (Soto, Turner, Rendon all out at one point) and a terrible terrible bullpen. They were outstanding after that and he's been excellent in the playoffs - the way he handled things in the WC game was particularly notable.

My guess is they'll go Corbin, Max, Strasburg against the Cardinals.

Also, Soto is a pretty good player. I like my life but I'd take his future. Damn kid is 20

Does Sanchez need to start Friday?

Perhaps? I'd be fine with that. Not sure how last night would fit into the "Corbin would have thrown a bullpen anyway" deal.

Foltynewicz pitched extremely well late in the season, but he is prone to control issues and really ugly outings mixed in with the great ones. Then again, who else were they going to start?

    I apologize
It was a very poor, insensitive attempt at humor

All good - I know you meant no harm. But planes DO crash.

Gabe gone from Philly, who's going to manage the Sweathogs?

I share the general sentiment, though not the specific desire. For the Cardinals, an appropriate outcome would be to have Wikileaks release hacked Cardinal executives' emails showing what they really think about "the best fans in baseball." For the Yankees...maybe have all of the national sports media refuse to cover them or write/say anything about them for a week.

No complaints that the Mystics weren't above the fold?
