And what does a week off do to their momentum? They've won six straight

The Sharks, on their web page, have instructions on how to synch their radio broadcast with the TV pictures using various devices.

Or perhaps the Yankees and Astros destroy each other for seven games and the Nats take advantage of a worn-out team, like the Marlins did in 2003.

Or the rested Tigers go a combined 1-8 against the 2006 Cardinals and 2012 Giants. Baseball is weird.

The Marlins had to overcome a 3-1 series deficit in 2003.

I was referring to the Marlins in the NLCS, meaning the Yankees weren't any more worn out than the Marlins.

A great -- and obvious -- hire for the reeling Angels.

Ask the '07 Rockies who had won 21 of 22.

I was just going to post something like this - It's baseball, nobody really friggin' knows until it happens. It's what makes it so awesome and so frustrating.

Marlins had an extra day of rest after their Game 7 and the Yankees went from playing in the wee hours and celebrating after Boone’s HR to essentially playing Game 1 of the series the next day.

Plus, they’d just finished beating their biggest rival in an epic series that was essentially the two best teams in the league that year. The World Series was pretty much an afterthought.

Marlins won three straight to beat the Yankees because New York just ran out of gas.

Or the Marlins were just better. Or got hot at the right time. Or 10 other reasons.
