Rutgers has gotten shut out in every other game this season. Seriously.

    Beat UMass 48-21
    Lost to Iowa 30-0
    Lost to BC 30-16
    Lost to Michigan 52-0
    Lost to Maryland 48-7
    Lost to Indiana 35-0
    Lost to Minnesota 42-7

They've been shut out more often than they've had multiple scoring drives in a game. And they're due for another shutout!

I think I might have wrote this last week, but thanks to gambling I am becoming way more invested in Rutgers football than I ever was when I lived in New Jersey.
Last year I started following them because they got on this weird run of covering big spreads late in the season, which helped me make some money. This year they're shaping up as a team where any point spread under 30 is like printing money, and I'll probably be betting against them the rest of the season.
I'm suddenly a big fan of Rutgers football. May they continue to suck forever.

Damn. Thirty points in six games? That's hideous.

Linesmakers keep expecting them to score points. Rutgers keeps not scoring points.

Pretty soon, you won't be able to parlay the under with the opponent. The books will categorize it as a correlated parlay.

I can't see how Alabama doesn't cover the number against the Pigs.

Yeah, the lines the last two weeks (-28 vs. Indiana and -29 vs. Minnesota) were right on the money for a frustrating beat if they just score 14 points or give up one less TD. They were hanging in there, point spread wise, until the fourth quarter against Minnesota. It was 21-0 heading to the fourth quarter, then Minnesota scored two touchdowns in 10 seconds and added a third a few minutes later to get over the number.

That's what Rutgers was good at last year. They couldn't score, but they played some really good defense and covered huge spreads against overrated Big Ten teams like Penn State, Michigan State and Wisconsin. This year they're seeing those same spreads while a) not getting that second score; and b) giving up one extra one, and it's making a big difference. They're losing games 42-7 or 35-0 instead of 35-10 or 42-14.

Alabama was a first-half covering machine last year, not so much this year. I could argue for playing against them in the first half again this week, given the backup QB and the fact that the lines are always shaded high for Bama to begin with.

Arkansas plays one game per year that gives all of Razorback Nation hope for the next two or three years down the road......no matter how bad the current year is.
    This is not that game.

    Give the 33.5.

    I still giggle.
It's like after the wagon tips over, both horses whisper "Should we turn around and go check on them?" Other one says "Fuck that. They're good. WE OUT!"

Or how the assholes run past the two drivers rolling around on the ground and head straight to the stupid wagon.

To their defense the two horses were just galloping alone once the wagon tipped so that's probably why they made chase.
