If Trump isn't the GOP, then why do the nationally elected republicans defend every single goddamned abhorrent and unconstitutional thing Trump does? They are even MORE accountable for every Trump action than the stupid voters from 2016.

And those stupid voters are far from off the hook on this. I'll remember every fucking devoted supporter of him, especially after Charlottesville. That will never go away.

As a conservative down here in New Gilead, the GOP leaders and candidates have bent over backwards to “out trump” each other. It would be comical, but it effectively has torched what was left of the moderate part of the republican. Anyone who questions trump or his actions, is disowned and attacked.

I don't agree with much of any of the MAGA agenda. The foreign policy decisions are interesting but incoherent and random, and thus bad, because he has no idea why he does anything. Bad process is bad regardless of end of results.

Abortion restrictions don't belong to that clown. He co-opts what he thinks he must to win, but he doesn't much give a crap about it.

Trump has bumbled into some interesting revelations, I'll say that. The sheer flip-out culture of his political opposition is often unnecessary and counterproductive. The man walks into mistakes on a daily basis and damn if, for multiple years, normally tactical people have turned their own drama up to 11 to match him.

The Ukraine thing has been handled nicely by the Democrats, I'd say. Much better than the Russian collusion saga, which had roots in dossiers and pee tapes. Much better than Stormy Daniels. I give Pelosi credit for her tone and her control of the party over the last 2-3 weeks, since Schiff's mob boss stuff. The quieter it gets, the more they think they really have a chance at impeaching him without damaging swing-district/swing-state Democrats. Well, they just might.

I wanted to grab this because this was the GOP position on closed interviews before Congress when it was about Hillary and Benghazi.

Gaetz is right about one thing, the illegal idiocy he pulled today will go unchallenged by the opposition party.

Trump could ride down Pennsylvania Ave in a golf cart and shoot everyone with a 35mm fully automatic machine gun and it would be a crime to physically stop him from shooting people. Assault on the President is a crime. He could walk into a high school and go into the girls locker room and take pictures and he could not be stopped and it would be a crime stop physically stop him.
He could open the nuclear football every morning and tweet out the codes, with impunity and temporary immunity.
Trump is arguing that he is a monarch

That's what's so ridiculous of the Gang of Idiots storming the SCIF today - it isn't like other Republicans aren't in there participating as part of the committee. And figure if there was "positive news for the President" it would be being leaked.

This is how little you pay attention.

The Russian "collusion saga" was about:

    1. The Trump campaign and members of the Trump campaign had multiple contacts with shady Russian contacts, including those who represented themselves to be foreign intelligence operatives.
    2. Donald Trump was publicly lying about his business interests in Russia.

Both of these things are enough to trigger a counter intelligence investigation into literally any single cleared federal employee.

Just stop with the "dossiers and pee tapes." You're stuck on the more salacious allegations, because you badly, badly want libs to be just as bad!
