If you don’t count the first three games of the 2004 ALCS ...

I fell asleep in the fifth. Figured I’d wake up to an Astros win. Whoa.

Somewhere, Showalter is putting more pins into his Chris Davis and Ubaldo voodoo dolls.

I kinda figured it would be the Cubs or nothing.

Bergman certainly took his time around the bases in the 1st inning. Stood there too long according to Verlander on Rules, 2019 edition.

    Bregman too.
It is the World Series. It is a big deal. You hit one like that, enjoy it.
Then go play defense like your glove is a stranger!

Verlander now 0-5 in the World Series. Put that on his Cooperstown plaque.

The most impressive performance on the behalf of the Astros last night was from Simone Biles.

Who is your NL manager of the year? Remember it is a regular season award.

    Roberts? A lot of wins.
Shildt? The Cards have been a lot better under him than they were under Matheny
Snitker? Big fan of what he's done with the Braves.

Can you make a case for Martinez? Like many others, I wanted him out of there at 19-31. I was overlooking the fact that at one point he was without Rendon, Soto AND Turner. That Sanchez was hurt and got off to a bad start. That his GM gave him a terrible bullpen.

Since 19-31, they've had the best record in baseball though that includes this incredible postseason run. Still, quite a turnaround and I think you can make a huge case though I readily admit my Fanboy Glasses cloud my thinking.
