I haven't seen much of him in the OF until this week, but Robles is a bit of an adventure out there in CF, isn't he?

Probably shouldn't post this on this thread because, well, Trumpist umpire Rob Drake, who previously promoted Birtherism, doesn't remember what the postseason is like.
By my count, 71 umpires have worked a full schedule in each of the past four regular seasons. Of them, 65 have worked at least one postseason game in that time. Drake is one of the six who haven't.
Maybe there's a good reason. Maybe he declines the opportunity to spend more time with his klan in Arizona.
Or maybe he just sucks. WSJ report listed him as third-worst umpire at calling balls and strikes in 2018.
The Average Umpire Is Almost 50. The Best Ones Might Be in Their 30s.

    Expletive him.

This game is forever. Over 3 hours and the 6th inning isn’t over.

I love baseball. Always will. But these playoffs are really exposing the issues with the game. I don’t know how to fix it, but a 4-1 game can’t go more than four hours. Just can’t.

How about an anonymous poll. That would be interesting.

Yeah. Way way way way too long.
The Caps started two hours later and finished just a bit after in a shootout hockey game.

Agreed. It’s insufferable; get the ball and throw; get in box and swing. Everything does not have to be perfect.

4:03 for a nine inning game with 5 total runs scored.
    319 pitches

Once men get on base in the postseason, pitchers work more slowly than bomb disposal teams, even the best ones.
