Jordan Myles calls out WWE for t-shirt design that ‘screams racism against African Americans’

 

It was pretty common for anti-black imagery of past eras to exaggerate the size of lips. For examples, see here: Anti-Black Imagery - Jim Crow Museum - Ferris State University - If you're an African American wrestler, it's pretty obvious why you wouldn't want that as your t-shirt.

 

I can kind of see it. It resembles the smile you'd see on someone wearing blackface.
Don't the performers have some sort of input on the design of their merchandise, though? Did Myles not see this shirt somewhere in the design phase and go, "Whoa! Hell no!"?

 

I think it all depends on what they get written into their contracts.

 

Just a warm, fuzzy story.

 

He's also got Cedric Alexander on his side, which is tough treading for him since he's been getting some good angles on the main roster.
