Well, the good news is the Orioles can't get much worse.

I’m not a Buck hater but this made me laugh

MLB can't even determine who's in charge of the Orioles.

According to the true electronic tracking, Barksdale missed 6 pitches for the night, 3 against each team. 95.8 percent of pitches called correct. He didn't suck. None of them suck.

Last year, I lived in Rhode Island, and Red Sox fans constantly complained that Buck hated their team. I now live in Houston, and Astros fans constantly complain that Buck hates their team. It's uncanny! (And, it's a weird comparison, but - I think he's similar to the WWE's Michael Cole, in that he's a perfectly average broadcaster, but he's used soooooo much that it manages to annoy everyone.)

As long as I have been watching TV sports, national play-by-play guys have been loathed and mocked by fans of every team for being against them. I mean, if people thought Joe Garagiola was biased, of course they'll think Buck is.

No, the Orioles were heading down that road well before the Expos pulled up shop and moved south. Bad owners are bad owners. I do think the Orioles may be finally on the right track, but it's going to take some patience. Duquette made so many terrible moves, from the Davis contract to signing every No. 5 pitcher on the market and dressing him up like he was an ace. There are finally some prospects in the system worth watching, and some young guys stepped up this year that give some flicker of hope.

Tim McCarver is another one. Always was a lot of hate for him.

Curt Gowdy! I must've called him every dirty name in the book in my college days. Then I met his daughter. Had a crush on her, but found even casual conversation almost impossible because of my thoughts about her
    Dad.

Maybe that's because he felt he had to describe a routine 1-3 putout five times?

Yeah, but he got off the mound like a cat!
