Cheeky. I liked it too and usually I hate that crap.

Holy Soto. And I'm down with the bat carry to first. They need to work on the handoff, though.

I like my life but I'd trade futures with him. Buck said he was the first to hit home runs in the same Series at two different ages. You'd think somebody would have aged up (and hit a couple) in a Series before now.

Maybe a couple of busty women tried to sit there and they escorted them out as a precaution.

Those seats at Nats Park entitle the ticket holder to a food/drink room, so a lot of people spend time in that room and there are always empty seats as a result. Don't know if that's the case in Houston.

I know I'd love to see a Game 7 but three won't do it for the Nats.

I am not one of the ninnies who goes apeshit over bat flips and such, but both Bregman and Soto are too good for that kind of thing.

Wasn't there a rule for a while where the home team wasn't allowed to do its own broadcasts?
I seem to remember it being a story in 2008 when the Phillies won the World Series and Harry Kalas got to do the radio call, because he wasn't able to do it when they won in 1980.

Fair enough. I guess just optics, but at this point, who cares.

But if Bregman is going to do it first while Mr UnWritten Rules Verlander is pitching, I’m glad Soto got the opportunity to do it. No other Nat would.

Welp, Verlander may not drop to 0-6 in the World Series, but he ain't gonna improve to 1-5.

Because I’m bitter that Harper left for Philly, Soto now has more career post season RBI than Harper, 13-10 in 21 less plate appearances. They both broke in at almost the same age, Harper was 12 days younger.

RBI is a very meaningful stat in the post season. Almost all runs are important in a post season game. All teams are good, by definition. And the pitching is often the best.
