This game is will go down in infamy. And the umps are already under the gun for balls and strikes.

When is the last time a manager -- or anyone, for that matter -- got ejected from a World Series game?

EDIT: Joe Buck just called it out. What a shocker that it was Bobby Cox in 1996.

If he can get through the 7th with no damage, you have to put Strasburg out there for the 8th.

Fuck that. They need to take their egos out of the situation.

Buck answers your question and, predictably, it was Bobby Cox in 1996.

Absolutely the right call. Was running fair the whole way. If he was legally running in the lane, he can take the last step fair and be legal. Great call. Not sure why it took so long to uphold since i have no audio at work.

He is not. Only the last step IF he was legally running the entire way. He was not.

Interference by a batter before he reaches first results in all runners returning to base at time of pitch. Straight rule.

    1) still called it
    2) It's not like his beef isn't warranted.
    3) This could be the last game of the series

Yep. Buck answered my question when they came back from commercial. Seems dumb.

I'm guessing Martinez was determined not to leave the field until he got ejected, so the umps had no choice there.
Also, I know every run counts in the World Series, but I would have calmed down a bit with my team getting a couple of runs after that call.
