I've never seen him wear one, at least not since he's become president.

Its a shame Roger Ailes was never able to attract smart people to blow him for jobs.

How does it feel, McCarthy, to be a prawn of a madman?

I so appreciate these thoughts from Obama on the idea of call-out culture.

I think he may want to realize, too, that call-out culture is substantially shallow, but an effective vehicle for power acquisition. Which is what it's for: Power acquisition. It's not about change in an understanding way. It's about creating sudden, unstable change that knocks the opponent off his or her feet for a moment, or, more to the point, makes the opponent less likely to say or do anything for the fear of being called out.

It's what Communist governments did and do. It's how a handful of people keep power: With backstabbing.

Tomorrow night on CBS 8/7 central:

There's A Hateful Pumpkin In The White House, Charlie Brown.

He doesn't drink. He has said so many times.

Which I've read elsewhere is bullshit. He just says he doesn't because it conveys the idea of being in control. Plenty of bartenders have said he used to booze on the regular in NYC clubs. Maybe he doesn't drink now, but he's claimed he's a lifelong teetotaler. Would you be surprised to learn he lies about that? And yeah, I know the whole story with his older alcoholic brother.

Well, he certainly seems to be sober at all public appearances.

Shit, he barely seems sentient at his public appearances.

Meaning: He's downed a bottle of Peppermint Schnapps by 11 am on the regular.
