Ok I should have said “ the general understanding” of the word, rather then “definition”. To most people, especially in this circumstance, transcript means “word for word” which this clearly wasn’t, and @Alma refuses to admit that the White House version left out some words on propose.

It reads at the top of the document, "Memorandum of Telephone Conversation." It's a memorandum. Period. Let's move on, shall we?

And now I take it back because others have posted the real definition. I guess you got me, bte. At least for a mi Ute. Thanks everyone else. Freddy (who’s freddy?) needs to look up things in the dictionary himself rather than take the word of liars.

Yeah, yeah, but Trump never actually said "quid pro quo" so the Do Nothing Dems have got NOTHING on him!

In other words he's the perfect Trump judicial nominee.

'Not qualified' rating and accusation from American Bar Association moves Trump nominee to tears - CNNPolitics

The ABA on Tuesday night issued a blistering analysis of the nomination.

"Mr. VanDyke's accomplishments are offset by the assessments of interviewees that Mr. VanDyke is arrogant, lazy, an ideologue, and lacking in knowledge of the day-to-day practice including procedural rules," William C. Hubbard, chair of the ABA's standing committee on the federal judiciary, wrote. "There was a theme that the nominee lacks humility, has an 'entitlement' temperament, does not have an open mind, and does not always have a commitment to being candid and truthful."

If it was an actual transcript, half would be in Ukrainian. Anything beyond that is a translator's interpretation.

The kind of interpretation that made people think Putin called Trump "intelligent" when he called him "яркий" (bright) . . . which also means "flamboyant."

Ivan’s approaching Trumpian levels of obfuscation here.
