Max Scherzer and Anibal Sanchez join Justin Verlander, David Price and Rick Porcello as World Series champions. Those five comprised the rotation of the 2014 Tigers, who were swept by the Orioles in the ALDS. J.D. Martinez, Ian Kinsler and Cameron Maybin are other former Tigers who won rings over the last three years. Almost forgot Fernando Rodney

Not enough people realize that Mattress Mack's crazy bets were all a hedge off his furniture promotions. The guy didn't wake up this morning $20 million poorer.

I wonder what his actual losses were. How many people bought mattresses vs how much he lost in his hedge bets

Ah, yes, my last fun moment as an O's fan. Still remember how freaking loud Camden Yards got when Delmon Young hit that bases-clearing double in Game 2.

Congrats Nats. Wish I could have been at the Caps watch party for that last night. John Carlson posted a video on Instagram. Those dudes know how to party.

Jim Leyland and Brad Ausmus were excellent at getting the very least from the very best at the very worst moments.

I would’ve selected Rendon, he woke them up last night and had a monster game in Gm 6.

Ms. Law is from the Beltway so fun to root for the Nats (she went to see the Senators 2.0!)

That stat they posted about his recent postseason plate appearances in the seventh inning or later was crazy. He was something like 6-for-6 with a walk, three home runs, and a couple of doubles. Naturally, they put it up right before he made outs in his last two at-bats.

Someone will need to explain why he never got in.

Most wins when facing elimination in a postseason:
    2012 Giants and 1985 Royals with 6
    2019 Walgreens and 1981 Dodgers with 5.
