How bad did your ass hurt after 3 hours and 20 minutes?

  2. Except being a hit.
It's expected to lose about a $100 million.

Saw Doctor Sleep. Given the two and a half hour run time - as well as having The Shining to build upon - it's weird how little they do with it.

The acting isn't particularly good. Evidently, with Ewan McGregor, there's a different skill set to playing a junkie than there is an alcoholic. And not much action either.

One trouble with the film is the same as the book. Our heroes are usually two or three steps ahead of the psychic vampires. They also demonstrate early on that they can kick the daylights out of them at will.

One thing I thought was funny was with Danny and the junkie single mother. She's living in a dump, she's an addict, but you get a gratuitous shot of her lying naked on a bed, with this incredibly toned body. I guess the last thing you let go of is your gym membership.

I have watched Goodfellas and Casino 1,000 times, and I didn't watch either in the theatre. The Irishman will be my only chance to watch a director and characters I love on the big screen. I'm watching it in a goddamn movie house.

I am sure they are counting on people feeling that way and I'm not saying you and others who do that are wrong. I'm just not going to do it.

Bring a butt pillow. It's probably the longest movie you'll ever see in a theater. Then again, most theaters nowadays have recliners and the like. I would honestly go see it in a theater, but it's not playing anywhere near me.

As a Netflix customer, heck, I'm pissed. Or I would be if I signed up for Netflix for the express purpose of watching The Irishman. Instead Scorsese - and there are things about the man I don't like, and this is one of them, massively, compulsively hungry for prestige - does the gilded thing, pops the movie in big cities, and pushes back the Netflix date until the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

I'm surprised nobody has called him on it, or that Netflix allowed it to happen.

It's the same thing they did with Roma. Nothing about your Netflix subscription says you get to watch something first. You get to watch it.

Netflix has to agree to show in theaters to get Oscar consideration and theaters won't run it if it is already available to stream.

Jojo Rabbit was the best movie I’ve seen in a while. It was as funny as advertised, but I’m still reeling over the sad parts.
