The GOP frenzy to out the whistleblower is "snitches get stitches" in ill-fitting suits and inappropriate ties. It's not about him/her, it's about the dozens at least of federal employees aware of illegal activities within the Trump administration.

Very odd choice of first state to run in. He must think Biden is toast, because he has no base within the party at all. At least Bloomberg has held elective office, but he's gonna finish behind Andrew Yang in any Democratic primary he enters.
PS: Dave Weigel of the Post tweeted that the reason Bloomberg filed in Alabama is that its deadline to get on the ballot is next Friday, earliest in the country. He also is too late to qualify for the next two debates, I think.

I recall a Super Bowl ad in 2016 out of nowhere warning of a possible Bloomberg run.

Bernie and Warren should petition the DNC to let Bloomberg in the debates. They can tag-team him. He's arguing with Warren and Bernie comes up behind and whacks him with the folding chair.

During the campaign in 2016, I actually looked up the criteria for "anti-chtist".
    He didn't meet them all.

Is Bloomberg too late to the party, or did he keep his powder dry while the others held a months' long circular firing squad?

He can debate Steyer on portfolio sizes.
