And they fucked with the Greedo scene again and ruined it further by having Greedo nonsensically yell, "Mcclunkey!" before missing with the first shot and getting smoked by Han. Ugh, if they're going to keep messing with it, at least make it look like something better than a junior high stop-motion animation project.

My brother-in-law, an unabashed Apple devotee, says the service sucks. Said the interface is horrible.

Of all the streamers - Apple seems to make the least sense. No existing library of content. And unlike Amazon, really nothing to gain from it. People aren't going to buy an Apple product because of their shows. Amazon is able to collect more data based on what shows customers watch.

I get AppleTV+ free for a year. Morning Show has been good so far. My wife and I plan on watching Dickinson at some point.

It’s crazy to think that a streaming service’s selling point would be nostalgia.

It isn't nostalgia for the kids. And that probably is the real secret of Disney, having multi-generational appeal. They'd have it without Marvel and Star Wars in any event - but I'm sure baseball would like in on how to successfully court new generations while retaining older generations of fans.

We have a Roku along with Hulu + Live and Amazon Prime.
    We really like it.
My lunch group at work is all about the Disney deal. They've been blowing up a group text all evening.

Disney has also succeeded at making movies that appeal to adults as well as kids.

    Just got Disney Plus.

First thing out of the gate was "Steamboat Willie."

    I love "Steamboat Willie."

They also have Willow. Haven't seen it in 25 years. I wonder how it holds up.

Damn. Now I'm going to have to watch it at some point just out of curiosity.

I've read that they messed with Avengers: Endgame, too, but I haven't seen it yet. Supposedly, they added back in some of the deleted scenes, including Tony Stark having a Soul Stone experience and the bit with all the heroes kneeling in his honor at the end of the final battle.

Some part of my wonders if that last bit was aimed at the folks who couldn't handle NFL players taking a knee during the anthem. There are plenty of outspoken critics of that side of the political aisle in the MCU, including Kevin Feige and Chris Evans.

Noticed that after I posted about it being in 4K. Apparently it was George Lucas mucking with it again from what some of the stories I saw said. Did it right before he sold to Disney, but it was never released until now.
