If you are going to vote why hide from your vote?

I don't look at it that way. I just don't feel like voters have to explain themselves. If you don't agree, that's fine.

Why don't you stand outside the polls on election day and see how well that question is received :)

It’s their job. Their voting has financial implications, there should be transparency.

good grief, man, it was a joke. Take a break from being an overly critical dick for a day; it might do ya wonders.

But the writers have nothing to do with the financial implications, unless they're getting kickbacks.

Sure they do. Their votes can cost players millions. They should be accountable.

Regardless of the financial implications, why wouldn’t they want to be transparent? You should be able to defend your position if you have taken the process seriously.

"Defend your position?" This is a court of law? And we will continue to disagree on the money part. Players' contracts are their responsibility and if they want to tie up a huge incentive in something that's decided on by votes, then that's their decision and they may suffer from it. It isn't Joe Writer's concern if his opinion on an MVP race or whatnot costs someone money.

An industry that expects transparency from the people they cover are to scared to make their votes known.
