Listen to this interview. He lays it all out in simple, understandable words.

All it would take would be a tenth of a second look at the clothes to know that isn't Epstein, so anyone with half a brain .... oh wait, my bad. I especially like the shopped dildo in the top photo.

My apologies for saying the trump trolls has lessoned. They have just changed tactics.

    Lord, I loved this.

"Stated simply, the primary takeaway from the past 250 years of recorded American history is that Presidents are not kings."

I'm certain that Trump was vexed to find this out.

Do you ever look at the faces of these people and wonder what would have happened if something had gone differently earlier in their lives? What toggle clicks over in someone's mind to make them feel like they never have enough? Yesterday, I mentioned Neil Gaiman's work. For those of you who are not familiar with his fiction (or may only know him via "Good Omens") one trope he often uses is the soul of the character reflected in their physical affect. Even if that isn't the case at the start of a Gaiman story, what is inside eventually surfaces.

I used to think it was just storytellers being clever. No. It's broadcast to us now. We are seeing this happen in real-time.

Since I'm in bookish nattering mode, let me add another literary allusion. In the 80s, Elizabeth Swados wrote a play based on Alice in Wonderland . Her Alice dithers around for most of the play, spouting feel-good platitudes that are borne out by the characters she meets. Well, that's until she encounters the Jabberwock.

"He can't be all bad," she insists to the Mad Hatter. "Everyone has two sides!"

"No. Not this one. Walk away from this one," warns the Hatter.

Up to that point, everyone Alice meets has two sides. When they turn around, there is another face revealing more aspects of their character. So Alice meets the Jabberwock, and he's as evil and scary as the other characters described him. A frightened Alice begs him to turn around and show his other side. He obliges her and all she sees is the back of his head. (As much as this reads like a Seinfeldian nothing-burger, Meryl Streep did a great job conveying the horror and innocence lost in the original production.)

The further we wade into this, the easier it is to lose faith. Does holding on to hope make us Swados' Alice? We've been told the cruelty is the point. Now we are seeing that it is not only feeding the coffers of some people, it nourishes them in some weird, hellish way. How do people get like this? Why?
