It sounds to me like it is time for Congress to pass a law making it mandatory that all executive pardons of criminals must be made *before* Election Day. This BS of Presidents and Governors pardoning odious people as they are on the way out the door needs to be stopped.

 

I knew that question would come up sometime, so I took the liberty of doing some advance calculations.

At the rate Putin has been furiously gobbling up former Soviet property (10,425 square miles in 19 years!), he should have the old USSR boundaries restored sometime around the year . . . 5631.

I don't buy that. Gallagher's SEAL team reported him and testified. The going-ons surrounding his court martial as well as his pardon were political. Yes, higher command was involved in that, but any officer who rises to become a General has to become a politician, almost by definition.

The entire concept of presidential pardons will get torn a new asshole in the constitutional amendment which follows Fatfuck awarding himself an unconditional and unlimited pardon for any federal crimes he ever may have committed in his life, effective as of 11:59 am the day he leaves office.
