Trump was embarrassed on the first day of the NATO summit, and it shows no one is bothering to take him seriously anymore

 

I wish somebody would ask Trump to commit to scaling back our military budget by each percentage point that other NATO members up their contribution. It'd make it apparent to all that this whole gambit isn't about saving the United States money, which means the only point is to funnel more money to the American arms industry.

 

Accused of bribing Ukraine and working to get them to ratfuck for you? Better go meet with them!

 

Trudeau and the other world leaders are not laughing at Trump because he's two faced. They're laughing at him because the American President is a clown, an emperor with no clothes. Trump holds one of his usual press conferences, stammering and wandering in circles, and they are not immune to it because they see it all the time. They watch and listen and are completely incredulous.

 

Until the next Crimea invasion. If you think Putin isn't watching all of this with delight, you are far dumber than I believe you to be.

 

The Trump presidency in a nutshell. Creating an issue, fixing it, taking a victory lap. Meanwhile, they keep kicking the can forward on health care, gun control, etc.

 

There have been tens of thousands of Congressional committee hearings in the history of the country. A handful, if that, of them produced moments that are part of general (popular) American history. I don't think today will up that number.
