Yeah, I guess it's supposed to be unpleasant.

 

Good piece here in the NYT:

It was a very good article. Both parties have supported the security state since 9/11. And they'll never stop for the same reason we're still in Afghanistan. The American voter is a spoiled child who can't abide reality.

 

Every Democratic member of the House of Representatives is a better person than I am.
I don't know how many times in the last few weeks I would have calmly got out of my chair, walked across the room, punched Nunes/Jordan/Collins/et al, then returned to my seat.
I really don't think I have that much self control.

 

These people are greatly compensated for acting like civilized humans when their stupid laundry is attacked.
